Instructions for Installing Lining
Kits in your Tour Pak
Remove and clean Tour Pak from bike. You
may leave the lid on if you support the lid.
Remove
wire stay and lock located in lid. Clean surfaces.
Flip
over liner and smooth out all the seams. They will dissapear when finished
installing
Replace
lock in hole as this will act as your locater pin to position liner in lid.
Mask
around gasketed surfaces for overspray of adhesive. Pull back liner and spray
adhesive liberally. This will allow you to slide lining easy into place.
Push
liner into position working your way around the lid. Spray one section at
a time.
After
removing lock, spray adhesive to this last panel. Once completed reinstall
lock
After
smoothing out the seams in the box liner, run lighting cord through lining
hole and mask the end.
Lay
out the liner lining up the black latch. This will act as your locater pin
for liners positioning.
Start
with this side panel. Spray adhesive liberally and push liner into position.
Work out wrinkles with your hand.
Once
you have the panel in place, fold back lining to expose the box.
Spray
and work your way around the box pushing the lining into place.
Check
your edges for loose lining. Add adhesive and smooth out.
Your completed Tour Pak box and lid.
If you have a rack on the lid you may cover the inside fasteners
with adhesive and liner or you may remove rack prior to installing lining.
Install lining and then with a sharp xacto type blade pierce the holes in
the lining and add fasteners through holes to remount your rack.
